Cruise Ship Or Private Yacht Charter?

The_KingdomCruise ships have become ever larger as their owners try to take advantage of the economies of scale. They can accommodate literally thousands of passengers on each voyage. Anyone who has sailed aboard one of these floating cities can attest to their luxury and variety of shipboard activities, unlimited food and beverages, and entertainment. It’s like going to Las Vegas without the desert. Lots of passengers never leave the ship!

My wife and I have done our share of cruising over the years. We found ourselves gravitating to smaller and smaller vessels. Why? Mainly because the big ships simply could not go to the small islands with their lovely, un-crowded beaches and laid-back lifestyle. We wanted time to meet and get to know the islanders and begin to understand their history and culture. Everywhere we went, we saw private yachts moored alongside quaint villages, white sand beaches, and rocky shores near wonderful reefs. These places could just as well have been on the moon, for all the access we had from our floating hotel!
